CEVO measures the proportions of your face from photos you take and explains the measurements in a written report.

What CEVO does

You answer a short questionnaire and take a front photo of your face, and for the $59 and $119 reports a side photo too. CEVO locates landmark points on the photos and measures distances, angles and ratios between them. Your answers pick the reference baseline the measurements are compared with.

The report describes your proportions and explains what each measurement means. It does not judge your face, and it does not tell you that anything needs changing.

How it works

  1. The questionnaire asks about your goal, age band, biological sex (Male or Female), routine and style preferences. Ancestry and body fat are optional.
  2. The free scan measures three things from one front photo taken in your browser: your facial width-to-height ratio (FWHR), canthal tilt (an estimate, about ±1.5°), and the middle-to-lower face ratio. The landmarks are found there too, and the face points stay on your devices unless you buy a report, while a private copy of the photo is kept for up to 90 days to fix problems. If you choose Continue on your phone, your answers are sent to your phone and the photo you take there is sent back to your computer through CEVO's server, end-to-end encrypted so CEVO cannot see them, held in memory only and deleted once delivered or after 30 minutes. Once the photo arrives, your computer keeps a private copy of it with CEVO for up to 90 days, like every scan photo. You see the readout after giving your email or continuing with Google.
  3. If you want the full analysis, you buy a report. Reports are one-time purchases at $29, $59 or $119. The $59 and $119 reports also measure a 90° side photo, which you take after you buy. What each one includes is set out in the terms.
